Reading Family Grapevine Magazine : http://www.readinggrapevine.co.uk.

When The Family Grapevine magazine changed their franchise structure, Alice, the owner of the local Reading version, needed to look for a new host for her WordPress website.

Within a couple of days, the WordPress site had been installed and copied over to create a copy of the previous site but with the added bonus of being on the latest WordPress version with access to a whole range of plug-ins that had not been available before.

Aldermaston Rugby Club : http://www.aldermastonrugby.com.

Developed By Monkey’s first Joomla (http://www.joomla.org) based site for one of our local rugby teams.

We answered the call from the junior section at Aldermaston Rugby to help keep their site up to date to help attract new players and to keep parents informed, but the old site was a Frontpage based monolith that was passed the sell-by date, so we put together a Joomla site for both the senior and junior sections at the club using a simple template and incorporating the RSGallery and JEvents extensions.

Camrose Centre

An old friend and colleague, Rob called us up for advice on developing a site quickly and cheaply for a drop-in charity centre in Basingstoke, so we suggested he looked at some of the teamplates on offer and specifically suggested those created by Tjobbe Andrews of SiteCreative.

Within the space of a weekend, Rob had created a site for The Camrose Centre which Developed By Monkeys neatened up a little and is now pleased to host.

The Sunbury Centre : http://www.london-irish.co.uk

Developed By Monkeys initially produced a new front page for an old version of the Sunbury Centre, a web site for supporters of London Irish rugby club run by enthusiasts.

Somehow along the way since that freebie was produced Developed By Monkeys became more involved in the administration and running of the site and as part of a team of enthusiasts we put together the current phpBB messageboard design using a template by http://www.DaTutorials.com. The original phpBB code has been modified to include a MySQL database of ex-players that is now linked to directly from the official London Irish RFC site at http://www.london-irish.com.

Aperture Dramatics : http://www.aperturedramatics.co.uk

Again proving that web sites need not be expensive we designed a new site for Lisa at Aperture Dramatics using a similar style to the one produced for Classic Celebrations. Reuse, reduce and recycle – the javascript code was modified for a simple web site and again the flash image viewing plug-ins from Airtight Interactive (http://www.airtightinteractive.com) were used for the portfolio areas.

Lisa then needed an image uploading area for her clients to view and order prints from, so we are incorporating Coppermine picture gallery software (again PHP and MySQL) into the site.

Arty Bugs Ltd : http://www.artybugs.co.uk

Arty Bugs run art and creative messy play sessions and birthday parties for children and wanted an eye-catching, primary colour design, so we picked a template from http://www.templatesbox.com and set to work making it fit – all within the space of about 2 weeks.

If you have ever used a web template, you will know that the designers do not make them easy to modify, but we changed the colour scheme, all the graphics and kept the basic layout design and developed the new site in PHP to make the content management a little easier.

Classic Celebrations : http://www.classiccelebrations.co.uk

Back in 2000, Liz at Classic Celebrations had us develop a web site to show off her cakes and wedding dresses. It was a pretty simple design all in static HTML.

Then when Classic Celebrations moved to concentrate more on cakes than dresses, we produced a brand new design for Liz based around her request to have movement and lots of nice graphics so the majority of the current design was developed as flash modules using Swish with the addition of some nice image viewer flash plug-ins from http://www.airtightinteractive.com.
